Transferring contacts to Bluetooth device

I seem unable to transfer my contacts from my Bold9700 to the Bluetooth device in my car. I have been told that the issue is with the number of contacts (over 700) and that the key is to be able to transfer them in small batches or even individually.

The Bold displays a message that the contacts have been transferred but none of them have in fact gone over to the Bluetooth.

Any ideas anyone?

How about your security settings. If these include your adressbook/ contacts it won't work.

How would I go about excluding addressbook/contacts from security settings ?
