My trackpad failed and tried every solution under the sun...even replacing the trackpad only to have the same issue. Not scrolling and not reacting to pressing for enter. My solution, I simply folded a sheet of paper, placed it under the battery and after a few times resizing the folded paper the battery went back in and VIOLA....the trackpad functions fine... maybe a few layers of ductape???? works for nascar
