Telus Bold 9700. Will it work in New Zealand?

I've searched around and although I'm sure the answer's buried somewhere I've not turned it up.

Will the Bold 9700 on Telus (assuming I get an unlock code) work on a New Zeland Network. I'd like to take it with me but is there a point other than as an alarm clock and mp3 player?

It will work for sure. You should get all features and full 3G performance on (roaming) cellular, and if you find an accessible WiFi signal you will also get your RIM data.

Assuming you are visiting, not relocating permanently... If you unlock and use a NZ SIM you will probably find cellular service is restricted to phone and SMS, unless you are able to find a network which offers prepaid access to BlackBerry and will setup a short term BIS account (not many will do this).
