Default AT&T Visual Voicemail

Hey, all:

Just wondering if anyone was having trouble setting up Visual Voicemail with their new 9700s. I just switched from an iPhone and (finally) after a week, my AT&T account online finally shows the Bold as my device. Now, per the instructions on AT&T's website, if I go to "manage my features," I should be able to enable visual voicemail. Thing is, I see a list of different Blackberry plans, etc., but the only voicemail feature is "Enhanced Voicemail." When I try to set it up through the visual voicemail app it just takes me to my regular voicemail box.

I wanted to see if anyone here experienced something similar before I tried my luck calling AT&T and being placed on hold only for them to tell me the same instructions that I read online. I guess I could always try the carrier store after work.

You need to call at&t and have them provision visual voicemail on your account.

I had to call AT&T.
It wasn't added to my acct even though I had it on my Bold & iPhone.

Ah, thanks.

That's a bit of a pain since the website says the plan is included with all Bold 9000 and 9700 phones automatically and can be set up online. Oh well, a phone call it is.

I can't get my visual voice mail to work. AT&T has provisioned it and it shows up as active when I go to their website, but when I click on the icon, it just sits on the "Please wait while we check the provisioning status..." screen. I've called CS several times and even tried a new SIM card. Now they want me to exchange the 9700, but it's perfect in every other way and I've already moved all of my apps to this PIN, so I'm not really feeling that. Anyone else having this problem?

I do have to say that AT&T has been very pro-active about this, even calling me several times to see if the issue was resolved. First time I've had CS take such an interest in helping solve a problem!

I spent hours on the phone trying to get AT&T to get mine set up. After two weeks it all of a sudden was there in the morning when I took my phone out of the charger

is there a way to get it out of my running apps? i dont use it, dont want it but its always "active"

Took me a couple calls. Each call was short and to the point but the wrong feature was being put on and when I finished the VVM setup it would still tell me to set it up. The 3rd time someone immediately said I had the wrong one, they added the right one, and its worked ever since.
