Default Syncronisation Between BIS and OWA 2007

    Hi All,

EDIT: Mods if this needs to be moved to 'BlackBerry Tips, How-To & FAQ', please do so and my apologies for posting it here.

I know there are several threads on this already, but I am at my wits end in trying to get this synchronisation to occur. Basically, my university migrated to what I think is Outlook Web App (OWA) 2007. Before this, my university email synced with my Bold 9700 with no issues. All I want to be able to do is send and receive emails from my university account using my Blackberry.

In the BIS Account Setup, I am asked to provide:

    Email address:
    Email password:
    Web Access URL:
    User name:
    Mailbox name:

To access the email login from my browser, I go to the following address: https://email.itd.uts.edu.au/email/. My Username is an 8 digit number.

Below is the information in the 'About' section once I am logged into the OWA.

Use the information below to troubleshoot problems and report issues.

Using all this information, could someone please tell me of the above information, what is needed to fill in the 5 fields required in the BIS Account setup?

    Thanks very much

Maybe BIS isn't compatible with some webmail accounts, you could use the browser, but you'll have to (on OS 5 only) switch the emulation to firefox or internet explorer. But as for push, I really don't know how to do it. Maybe make a yahoo mail account and have everything automatically forwarded to that instead?

I should perhaps point out that when I login at https://email.itd.uts.edu.au/email/, I have to login using a Username, which is an 8 digit number and a password. I don't actually login with the email address like I would say with a hotmail account.

I'm not sure if this helps in solving my situation, but I've literally tried everything I can think of. I know having the university email push incoming mail through to a hotmail account on my phone is a good workaround. However, some staff members at the university refuse to open any mail that isn't from university email addresses. Hence why I need to setup my actual university email with the phone if I wish to send reply messages.

    Thanks for all the help

    Email address:John.Smith@student.uts.edu.au
    Email password:<your password>
    Web Access URL:https://pod51008.outlook.com/owa
    User name:<8 digit pin>
    Mailbox name:John.Smith@student.uts.edu.au

I am certain of the webaccess url, email and password part. The mailbox name is a little tricky, and your username may need to have a domain included. Try this and let me know if it works

Thanks very much for the suggestion agentfat2004, but I have tried that one before. This is the error message I keep receiving:
