Do you know what....why do we constantly have to put up with companies leaving Canada last. I downloaded the sirius app and installed just to be dissapointed that my canadian account doesnt work. I was going to consider keeping my sub with the new app but I dont think that will happen now. I think we (canadian subscribers) should all voice our discontent and email them through their contact us section on the canadian site. Maybe things will change but if it doesnt i definatly will not be renewing.

To set up a US Sirius account you need a US address. I pay with my Canadian Credit card. To setup an account you need to call(Can't email or set it up online). Calling from Canada routes you to SiriusXM Canada. Download Skype on your pc and call SiriusXM USA if you have a mic on your pc. Its a toll free number so its free to call from Skype. Funny thing is the last CSR from I called was in New Brunswick, but a CSR for SiriusXM USA....lol You will get all the channels with whatever plan you choose to have. Good luck!

I made my disappointment clear through the Sirius.ca site, I currently pay for 3 subscriptions to Sirius and I agree with jbenyik, we are always last to get anything!! Of course Sirius was quick to drop new "royalty" charges on the Canadian Sirius subscribers this week, but a simple app for the subscribers...noooo!.
I have been waiting a long time for this app... so close and yet so far!! - 02-05-2010, 01:28 PM #7
Chill guy's the Sirius Canada APP will be ready in a few weeks I would guess. Same thing happened with the I-phone app, once it came out, it too about a month or so, to get it coded for the Canadian system and than it was on the Sirius Canada website. So most likely samething will happen for the Blackberry app

OK....I'm giving this a try in hopes of catching Tony Stewart and NASCAR Radio. Right now it's taking 5 minutes so far "Downloading Content Lineup" is this normal. I'm WiFi right now.

I have a US sirius acct, downloaded the app on my rogers bold, signed in but the channels wont play, kept telling me player error. when i switched on wifi everything worked flawlessly. Is anybody getting this app to work over rogers data? i called rogers they have no answers, i called blacberry and same result. i was in buffalo over the weekend roaming on at&t, tried to connect but got the same player error message. This leads me to believe it might not be a rogers problem.... I tried to check the permissions and all is set to allow. Hopefully we can find a fix for this

I have downloaded the app for Sirius XM on my blackberry curve 8310 and have gotten error messages when I try to run it. I called Rogers and they told me Sirius wasn't compatible with my blackberry model - does anybody else here have Sirius installed on the Curve 8310 and does it work?
thanks - 04-21-2010, 04:00 PM #13
if you go to xmradio.ca and it will show you which bb devices it supports.
as for the service, cannot get it to work with canadian data plan, looks liek its still being blocked. i can get it to work for about an hour using wifi and after that, its offline till the next day.
so slacker it is. - 06-24-2010, 09:32 AM #14
I downloaded it a few days ago from SIRIUS Radio Satellite Canada - On Blackberry .... It took my login info and works perfect.... Been using it for a couple of day with no problems... other than the battery going quick...
