Default Should I downgrade to .668 from .706?

    Hi all,

I'm trying to help my gf with her 9700. She is very frequently running out of memory, and experiencing slowdown of the OS.

I installed .706 for her (afaik the latest official OS6 for the 9700, please correct me if I'm wrong). But stupidly, I did not shrink the OS first.

Since then, I've been searching this forum, and what I'm getting is that people seem to think that .668 was an amazing build, with many calling it the "best" build to date.

My question is this. Either way I'm going to have to do something for her. Would I be better off going down to .668 and shrinking, or better off shrinking a .706 install and re-installing it for her?

I don't use her phone much, but from what I've been reading, it appears the .706 build she currently runs is not that bad (no browser issues, and had no problems with the upgrade directly from a stock OS5).

I wish I'd been less lazy and shrunk the .706 in the first place!

    Thanks in advance.

You could try and shrink on the phone using BB Boss 2.2.2
Back up first on BBDM. Disconnect the phone. Start BB Boss (ensure BBDM does not start) make your choices > shrink (on phone). Finally backup again on BBDM.

I am currently on .668 shrunk. With 83.8 after a QuickPull reset.
