Should I Buy Bold 9700 For Wife...Or Wait?

We have a upgrade on our account and my wife loves my Bold 9700 and wants one. Is now a good time to buy or will it be upgraded/revised soon? We can wait if there is another/better BlackBerry coming down the pike.

are you guys on at&t or tmobile? if you're on at&t I would suggest waiting because the new blackberry slider bold is just coming out around the corner.

Does she care about having the latest tech device? She really tech-saavy and always wants the newest thing? If yes to either of these, I would wait til middle/end of the summer b/c you may see the BB Slider. It's an option if she enjoys that form factor.

Otherwise, the 9700 is an awesome phone, even if a newer one comes out, it's still nice to use.

yeah, really its about what she likes-full keyboard, 9700. Something new and a bit innovative, slider. The 9700 is going to be tough to beat, no matter what new devices RIM introduces.

There will always be new devices coming out. That said go to a store with live phones and test them all in order to make the best decision. I will say my family loves their 9700s...

I'd wait for the 9800, it's a nicer device. I love my 9700 but please... a larger display with the specs of this 9700 and the awesome KB? 9800

9800 is nice on paper, but not sure when it is coming out and IIRC is slated for AT&T...so if that is the case wait it out, if not it is hard to beat the 9700.

The 9700 is such a great device it's tough to pass on it but the slider is supposedly coming soon. It might depend on what type of phone she prefers.

Get her to take a look at the slider video. See if she likes the look first. Her reaction will tell you which model to get.

If she liked it go for it why not. But I would also have her wait to compare it to the slider. Though I'm not a slider fan, that os6 is looking pretty good. Basically its a bold with a touch screen.

Well id say what you can do with the bold or the slider wont be too much different so it all depends on what she likes, whether or not she wants a slider
