Should i buy a 9700 now?
Hello guys
I had a 9780 and a 9900. After some disapointment with this equipments, i´ve already sold them 2 months ago.
Then buy a Galaxy S3. But i miss my BB´s. I want to return to BB. I want to buy one equipment not expensive, and i´m thinking about the 9700.
Should i buy one, right now? what kind of problems should i be paying attention to?
many thanks for your help - 07-12-2012, 06:19 AM #2
I have a 9900 and I'm not happy with the battery life. Had a 9780, which actually never gave any trouble but I sold it.
I've thought of getting a backup, maybe trying another platform or maybe a BB curve 9320, which I hear has the best battery life of all OS7 devices.
I hate it that when I travel my constant worry now is running out of battery and I would hate to have to carry an aditional battery around. - 07-12-2012, 09:29 PM #3
Yes 9700 for me is the most reliable device. 9780 should be better though

9780 has a newer OS and more memory, but my 9700 has gone strong for over 2 yrs. I have found it runs best on OS5, OS6 had too many leaks and I had to re-boot once to twice a day.
I downgraded back to OS5 and am having zero problems, best BB decision ever.
My personal favorite OS5 device though is the Bold 9000! - 07-13-2012, 01:23 AM #5
I would suggest running one of the b@stard hybrids on it. It makes running OS6 fairly painless on a 9700.

Eh, you can get free themes that provides OS5 look for OS6. Hybrid OSs can't swap out the browser methinks, it's too different

9700 with OS 5.0.0.862. Flawless, fast, battery last 7 days (not a heavy user). It just works, it does exactly what Blackberry's were supposed to do.
For the fun stuff, I have an iPad. A great combination.BB's so-far.... 8300, 8330, 8707v, 8900, 9000, 9300, 9700, 9780, 9800, 9860, 9900, 9860, 32gb Playbook, Ipad2, another BNIB 9700.
, and now back to my all-time favourite - the 9860!
I like to throw tin cans at people, twice if they support E*e*er City.
