Rogers sent me a "new" Bold 9700
I bought mine at launch and over the past 2 months the battery life has dropped to 3 hours DOING NOTHING!
So Rogers sent me a refurbished 9700. The phone looked like new when I received it. NOW, my problem is the Menu Button and Back button are very clicky and feel almost loose. They dont have the feel of the original phone I had. It almost feels like the buttons double-click or something weird. Its hard to explain.
But, the trackpad feels more solid on this one. Both were made in Mexico.
Should I send this one back again and tell Rogers I want another one or is this just a minor issue? - 02-12-2010, 09:16 AM

Gah...sorry to hear it...I went through 6 refurb 8900's from rogers...problems ranged from keys not working....scratches...and since I inspect every phone I receive from those jerks (lol) I even managed to get one that ARRIVED water damaged lol..I eventually convinced them to keep the piece of crap unit and give me a 9700....which i had replaced twice (FOR BRAND NEW UNITS...I wasn't playing the stupid refurb game anymore)...now on my 3rd 9700 and I LOVE IT!
edit:: ALSO, lol...they tried to tell me that I sent one of my 8900's with water damage and attempted to charge me $250+taxes...needless to say a week later there was a $300 credit on my account and an apology from the office of the president - 02-13-2010, 10:51 AM #10
hey, its your phone and your money. the only one who has to be happy is you. if youre not satisfied, send it back, but you'll get another refurb, and the one you get may be worse than the one you have now.?
