restart HELP PLEASE

i've got my rogers bold 9700 a week ago

everything was fine till i was on a lunch break did some sms then during like after i bought it, the phone just kept restarting

goes black red led comes on, then teh blackberry with the bar comes up, it would load like less than 1/4 then turns off then the led comes on and keeps on going in a circle

cant even connect to my comp to wipe it using JL commander or to reload my os on it

any ideas how to fix it?

Since you din't specify I;m assuming you did not install any apps near the error starting and are running the stock .321 OS.

There is a way to force it to load ina diagnostic mode. Let me google it and pos tthe link for you.

Try running the phone in safe mode

* Remove the BlackBerry battery and reinsert it

* Hold down the Escape key after the red LED goes out and keep holding it (The escape key is the one that looks like a sideways “U” shaped arrow by the trackpad on the Bold 9700 commonly called the “back key/arrow”)

* You will then see this dialog box....and click ok

* To exit safe mode just remove the battery and reinsert again

If the phone is still not able to boot up..then you'll have to go with what Bettermost said in the post above...and "just get a new one".

hey guys, this is my second 9700 in less than 2 weeks... the first one had an issue with my mail icons always showing 1 or -1 email (weird) and now as of 221am est, the replacement is continually restarting. should i give up and just return it?
