Despites your great Tutorial I couldn't fix my Pearl White Bezel with my "Fake :@" Black OEM Top Cover. So people, please buy decent stuff don't be cheap or you'll be ripped off .

So I want to buy preassembled stuf now, the only thing is, I can't find a White Bezel with a Original Black Top Cover.

I didn't find this combination on SW-Box or eBay! Could someone help me out (a)?

Edit: I have found this on TrueSupplier: Blackberry Bold 9700 bezel faceplate cover W/ bottom cover OEM Top cover (Glossy White) ::Housing/Faceplate/Cover::9700/9020 Onyx::Blackberry::Housing/Faceplate::Truesupplier - Blackberry Accessories & PDA Accessories wholesale Co. but it doesn't state "attached", which it does for other available Bezels.

Quality of CNN.cn is one of the better once out there, also with a top piece attached the only hard part is to prone the current bezel away from the device.

Good Luck!

I've changed the housing on my 9700 many times before, but the housing I ordered this time did not come with the top cover attached! I panicked since I don't have a soldering iron or anything but I followed the suggestion of the OP and heated up a piece of metal which I then pressed against the plastic tabs and it worked wonderfully! I also added some super glue just for good measure... just in case.

Anyhow, just wanted to thank the OP for this great tutorial and for frequently answering questions in the thread! Could not have successfully changed my housing without him!

Thanks OP. Got the white housing off ebay and kinda freaked when the top cover wasn't attached. Great tutorial. Didn't have a soldering iron, just headed up metal. Going to add some super glue as the right part is sticking out a little. Probably cuz I got cheap quality, but will have to do for now.

Thanks again!
