I put my gmail account into the phone but it will not show me when i get a new email. I can send emails but it won't receive new emails. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you resent your services books. That may be your issues. I had the same issue until I did the setup wizard and the then resent my services books.

i would use google's gmail app. it is very good for all your email, my only issue with it is that when you get a new email it doesn't show you a notification icon on your homescreen, however, it alerts your LED and shows a new msg indicator on the app icon.
