Default Randomly freezing, outrageously slow

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

It randomly freezes, and is crazy slow to do anything. It's not while running one particular app, or doing something specific. Totally random, and probably 50 times a day. It's to the point when I press the unlock button on the top of my phone it takes about a minute to decide it's going to unlock.

I've deleted all texts/emails, updated all apps. I'm running OS 5, gave OS 6 a shot and it decided to not cooperate with my email. I'm looking for any suggestions here...

PS: Sorry if there's a similar thread to this, kind of frustrated so I didn't bother looking.

OS5 is normally quite solid. Has this occured after the installation of a particular app? It would be an idea to reload the OS without any apps installed. See how it runs then. If it's ok, load up your apps one at a time till you find the culprit.

If it still plays up with only the OS loaded, then you could have a hardware problem. If it's still under warranty, call your carrier.

You didn't mention trying a battery pull, also, what app version of OS 5 are you running?

Battery pull, uninstall unneeded apps, reinstall OS, give OS 6 a try (but be sure to shrink it). How much app storage free do you have left after a battery pull. I like to have around 50MB to give my BB some "room to breath." If I get under 20MB, my BB starts slowing down and it's time for a batter pull (usually start the day off with a battery pull).

I would try this method too.... try deleting one app at a time and use the phone for a day or so and see if it improves anything. Also, do you have any third party apps running in the background?
