Questions about providers in Vancouver
I' am planing to go in Vancouver for 6 months or more so I need to know the best provider that gives prepaid data plan for blackberry and prices if it's possible. Also I need to know will my phone work over there (I have bold 9700 bought from orange in Israel).

If it's an aws version, you can go with either Wind or Mobilicity. They both have no contracts and provide full BIS. There's also Virgin & Koodo. I didn't mention the big 3 carriers because I'm not sure if they offer prepaid BIS.

Go to the About screen, it shows the 3G band. Either 1, 2, 5, 6 or 1, 4, 8. All the carriers in Canada use 1, 2, 5, 6 except for Wind & Mobilicity.

That's correct. They both offer no contract or short term contracts with full BIS support. Just check the coverage area of where you're going to be staying. If you step out of the zone, there is no coverage and you pay per use. Within the zone, it's unlimited voice, data & sms.

I think Mobilicity is currently offering the unlimited plan for $45/mo plus 12% tax but if you pay 3 or 6 months ahead there's a discount. Check www.mobilicity.ca for more details.

Wait I' am already on os 6 600 version, the latest. I planed when I by the card to delete the vendor and reinstall the device os to my bold. You were thinking about that?
