    Default Problems after Battery Pull

    hi folks

just upgraded to Bold 9700 on Tmob UK last week from my trusty 8900 curve.

Was working great until past couple of days.

had plugged into DM which updated to AppLoader 5.0 so went ahead with it.

Ever since then i get icons for apps i never had in the first place which i cannot delete even if i install then try to delete! when installed they dont even show up on listed apps in DM found only solution was to delete relevant items in service book which solves the issue temporarily though.

A few times today i have been exiting from a sent sms to go to home screen and screen freezes and i have to do a battery pull to reboot............and when i do the bloody icons are back!!!!!!!

The icons are various IM apps and social networking apps, MSN and facebook i do use and are installed and i have no issues but these icons were NOT there when i originally got my upgrade last week.

Was wondering whether i should do a clean install? OR upgrade to .743 from o2 UK which was a new thread earlier today?

My head is burstin with this as my wife got her white 9700 same day as me, i plugged into DM and installed same AppLoader 5.0 but she does not have these annoying but trivial issues!!!

Any advice folks or will i just go back to old faithful 8900 curve??????

The "app" aren't really apps, but short cuts to the apps that you can down load. They are pushed by your carrier (and will differ from carrier to carrier) as service books as you found out. You can delete the service books, but every time the service books are sent they will reappear. The best you can do is hide them on the home screen. I made a folder named "Hidden" and moved them all there.

Does the SMS problem occur every time you send a text?
