is the poor battery life because of the battery or the phone?

I believe your battery life will be poorer if you keep wifi and bluetooth on all the time.

My battery life is excellent. You shouldn't be having issues. Exchange the phone.

Make sure your closing out your internet.....don't keep it running in the background. Close out apps when yur finished...themes take a lot of batterylife....I can work all day...and fine....charge @ night for 2hrs or so

Bluetooth will eat up the battery more than anything else. Bluetooth AND wi-fi both active will "fight" each other.

Also, it is best to close an app when you are finished e.g. browser...otherwise it will drain power.

Even with wifi and bt constantly on my battery life is awesome. If you're having battery life issues maybe you're not closing out of apps properly.

You may have a bad battery, exchange it where you purchased it.
I have double the batt life of any bb I've had the last 4 years.
Other than the tips above, the only other thing I can think of is your signal strength, if your device is constantly searching for a 3g signal because you are in a weak area, that could be draining.
