Isn't AT&T the one coming out with a 4G network, or is that Sprint? If it is AT&T will it be compatible with the 4G network?

Yes, Sprint will have a 4G network, as will AT&T and Verizon.
As for who will have one first, all of them like to be children and claim they will be, as far as I know, Sprint claims that in their commercials, but we'll see if they actually ARE the first to have a 4G network. Verizon has been working on LTE (4G) for a while, so we'll see who gets a 4G network up and running first. Don't expect it until 2010 (probably late) at the earliest.

Obviously I don't have an onyx in front of me so I'm going by the comparison pics. But from the pics it looks like the screen is the same size as the bold? I think everone says the screen looks smaller is because the actual device is smaller. But it looks like RIM crammed a large screen by makinf the buttons and keypad smaller, and by making the lip/bezel smaller on the outside. Is it an optical illusion or maybe I'm just an ? Phonegeek can you confirm this (the screen size not the ***** part ?
Thanks!!

Glad to see the trackpad. Not so for the fake leather. Option to erase it?

I have played with the tour's key board and found it to be slightly cramped for my fingers, that's why I ask. | So I have several quality images back on page 4 I think. This will hopefully give you an idea on keyboard size. I haven't compared to the tour as it's a VZN phone that I don't see. Quote:

CX is a lot closer to the RIM thinking than I but on the issue of bold being stamped on the back. I would be shocked to see that go away in the final release. "Usually" by the time we get the device in the field the outside of the device doesn't change... Quote:

whats with all these parts too...how about a solid back or chasis? Bad fit and finish in my opinion.
have u ever seen a guy wear all black and none of the items match, thats what this reminds me of...rim better get serious and hire some real industrial designers....this thing stinks bad!
this is going right to colorware if i get one....shame on rim! | Ok so maybe I miss something here but usually RIMs first priority is function. You have some rubber around the edges and part of the back. The leather breaks up the design and adds depth, it also is a non slip surface. Personally I like the design but maybe I am weird. Quote:

Verizon is being aggressive with LTE launches planned for 2010 as well. As a network guy I don't consider Sprint's network plan a 4G solution but most others do so there you go. Quote:

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I will try to do a detailed compare tomorrow but I believe it is the same screen as the 8900 at least in size. Quote:

4G, no matter who has will probably be 2012. Between now then, AT&T may have acquired one of its competitors. If I were RIM, I would be more concerned about operational/functional issues. At this stage, any more external finishes would be costly to retool.

Does the device have Doc To Go or any preloaded apps? Have you tested downloaded the latest BB App World and then downloading an app, hopefully a GPS app?

I'm assuming it'll have the trial or scaled down version of docs to go and if you want to be able to edit or anything, will you have to pay to upgrade it? Just curious...
