No sound?

Hi!

I am having problems with my blackberry 9700. One day I tried playing a video and no sound worked. I then tried playing some music but no sound was happening.

However, I figured my sound works when playing a ringtone or taking a picture. This means my speaker/mic is working but I can't seem to fix the problem with my video, music or turning the volume up during a phone call.

Can anyone help me with this problem I am having?

What OS are you using? Did the sound for music and video work at all before?

Sounds like you may have to reload the OS or try another version.

Did you install any apps prior to noticing the problem?

My sound was working perfectly fine.

I'm pretty sure this happen during updating my OS. However, i tried numerous OS's but the sound is just not coming back for me.

I'm currently on OS 6

What about new apps. Did you install any prior to the problem rearing it's head?

I remember downloading the torchlight app but can't remember if that caused it. However, I deleted the app and still no luck with the sound coming back on.

Any help?

You can make a backup and try to wipe it, see if it helps.
