Sorry another media card question...

The shuffle option seems to be missing when I try to play songs through my media card. I can do it through Media Home>Music, but I prefer to play my songs through my media card because all of my songs are already divided into certain folders (and it would take a loooong time to make playlists ). There is no more "shuffle" in the option menu and I can't even highlight the shuffle or repeat buttons. I think it went away when I upgraded to .979 (but am not 100% positive)

I found a similar thread but the only suggestion they got was to look in the "How-To" for a short-cut key (which I looked for one but could not find)

Can anybody shed any light on this? Or know of a way I can shuffle when in my media card?

(I forgot to mention I also changed my media card from the one provided by BB to a SanDisk, in case that would affect anything)

I'm confused ... If you open the Media Folder>Music>All Songs you can shuffle from there and that includes the music on the SD card and device memory. But, if you are using the Files Explorer to get to the music folders/files, you will not be able to shuffle.

Well that's basically the problem. I USED to be able to shuffle through folder files (or through the explore option) but not anymore, and I was wondering if this was an OS thing or what.

The reason I don't like to shuffle through Media>Music is because it will shuffle ALL songs, but if I go to my media card directly I have different folders of songs (so looking to be able to shuffle certain folders as opposed to All Songs).

I realize I can make playlists but was wondering if there was a simpler fix since I used to be able to do it.

It's not really a media card problem, but just an issue to not shuffle. Maybe a spare device might help? Just suggesting.
