Need your kind help about solving the problem of Blackberry Bold 9700
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have bought a blackberry couple of months ago from a shop. Please be noted that it was an used phone. The phone was from Vodafone. I'm using it in Bangladesh & it was factory unlocked. I used it for couple of months without facing any trouble. I was using v5.0.0.862 platform 5.10.0.175 as the OS on it. Couple of days when I was downloading a software from the internet most probably the OS has crushed. After that my phone couldn't complete the booting and it was restarting every time. After that I tried to wipe out my device by BBSAK as I have found the information over here in this site and load the OS again. Right now the phone is working but facing some strange problems in my phone. Please be noted that I'm using BIS here in our country provided by GrameenPhone. After installing the OS every time when I'm setting up my e-mail accounts then I can see that the BES is activated. When I'm going to install the Blackberry protect in my phone it's showing that I can't install blackberry protect in my phone. Blackberry protect is not compitable with the devices which is connected with Blackberry Enterprise server. I have checked with the service provider over here and they have confirmed me that I'm using BIS not any Blackberry Enterprise Server. I also trying to use yahoo messenger and it's showing that the service is not enabled for this handheld. Also trying to use MSN Messenger and it's showing that invalid e-mail address and password whether my e-mail address and password is correct. I have installed downgraded OS too but the problem still the same. I also tried to install OS 6 in my phone and found that the trackball is not working or moving. I'm really in a bad situation with this device and facing a great problem.
Would you please help me by providing your wise opinion to solve the problem?

Have you somehow either on the phone when setting up or in dm chose BES?
Sent from me using my fingers. Be pantless in 5K. Febreze - for more than smells.

For one thing, it's not wise to post your phone number or e-mail address in public view due to spam and stalkers. Also, the 9700 uses a trackpad, not a trackball. I suggest following the instructions on this http://forums.crackberry.com/tips-ho...berry-569-new/ or this http://forums.crackberry.com/tips-ho...one-81401-new/ thread's first page, that way, you won't have the pesky IT policy getting in your way. You might need to replace the trackpad, but go back to OS 5 and see if things are normal.

No sir, I didn't choose any option for BES? The problem is happening after installing the OS when I'm setting up my e-mail account. After setting up the e-mail account I can see the the e-mail activated as Enterprise Server. I can see this in option > advance option > Enterprise Activation.
After installing the yahoo messenger I can't use it. It's showing the service is not enabled for this handheld whereas couple of days ago I was using everything perfectly.
In this site there are some genius persons who can help me about these issues. That's why I posted my problem here to have your kind help and co-operation. - 11-27-2011, 12:36 PM #5
Chances are your carrier put you on BES and said BIS by mistake? Maybe you should give them a call. I did suggest it more than once if I haven't already mentioned it again. I also linked helpful threads to remove that IT policy, which will be wise to do. You'll have to uninstall the desktop software, run a CCleaner cleaning and registry cleaning (CCleaner can do that), reboot, then reinstall it. That way, the policy is removed, but I guess you did read the thread's first pages.
