My situation; White 9700
Alright, so basically right now I'm using my iPhone 3G. I was a previous BB 9000/8300 user, and I miss blackberry A LOT. I miss all the functionality and great battery life.
To my understanding the white 9700 was delayed, and this is what I've been waiting for to make my big switch. Everyday goes by, and I check everywhere I can to see a soon release date.
My question for YOU is...
Should I wait until the white 9700 is out to make the switch, or should I just get a black 9700 now, as the bezel can always be changed. As I've heard there are going to be no hardware changes, or upgrades. 9700 is also confirmed 6.0(?) which I've read in various places.
Thanks in advance guys

Something only you can really answer. How important is color? I personally don't like the white ones, they look cheap.

And with the plethora of color options, there's really not much need to wait for someone to wait for a device to release with something as trivial as a housing.

I mean functionality is the key reason I want to switch, however I just don't want to switch too soon, then seeing the white, and realizing I should have waited.
A big thing I like about the white, is that not many people will have it. Then again, custom combinations of housings will also create that same environment. I'm so indecisive. - 05-13-2010, 09:02 PM

By the way, does anyone know a release date soon for the 9700?

the one thing about the REAL white 9700 that you can never get by replacing parts is the white border around the LCD; the LCD is one piece, and you will have a black one. ex:
real white 9700:

black 9700 converted to white:

Currently: Motorola Atrix - Android 2.2

Wow that fully converted white 9700 looks really classy. The only thing I don't like about the converted one, is that it doesn't have the chrome finish on the bezel. But I'm assuming you can easily keep that if you wanted to? And how is the quality from sw-box? I see that they're starting to have OEM white parts.

So I guess I'm going to go ahead and get black and convert it after my black gets scratched up a good sum. I like the black LCD border a lot more aswell.
I think you're looking at a cost of around 40-50$ to convert. I've heard great reviews from sw-box.
