Default my phone randomly downloads files

From time to time I will look on my msd card and a file will be there average size 50mb and will always start witht the text string core. Then random numbers also 3 .xml files get randomly downloaded to the msd card. Could this be a setting I accidently ticked and since this started my phone battery would hit 40% life and then shut down and say battery is drained shutting down. I also noticed last night when I put it on charge from a flat/drained battery soon as it got to 40% charged it shot straight upto 100% and saying fully charged. Any ideas would it could be on both. OS 6.0 bundle 2718. Regards Jim.

Nothing should be downloaded especially to your memory card you do not authorise. Where on your card are these files being stored, like in a specific folder or just on their own?

there stored on the sd card soon as you click on a file manager its the first thing you see it seems to create a file named core00.0 through to .5 now i see 1 with my PIN in the string and a few random .xml files showing

    config-OTAGMEEU01.xml,
    poke-OTAGMEEU01-0.xml,
    poke-OTAGMEEU01-1.xml,
    poke-OTAGMEEU01-2.xml,
    reqconf-OTAGMEEU01.xml,
    srack-OTAGMEEU01.xml and
    status-OTAGMEEU01.xml.
    The core file is
core.XXXXXXXXB8CE385.0 the X's display my PIN.
No idea what this means. lol any help would be rather appreciated. before i would normally delete the core files but this 1 appeared with my PIN so was curious as to why this time i have seen upto 5 core files at one time core00.0 to 5 no idea what this means. Regards Jim.

Do you have Show hidden files option On in File Manager? They look like system files.

What apps are you running, do you use App World etc. You need to try find if a certain app is putting files on the card. You could always reformat the card after a backup to clear all files and start over.

the files come back in 50mb sizes say once a day with different extentions and the files are not hidden or grayed out. Thats how i noticed them in the first place. i upgraded the phone to OS6 .723 and my speaker on headset no longer works lmao. so thats more of a worry than the random files atm ^^
