Default My bold keeps searching for network, whats wrong?

I recently upgraded my phone from os5 to 0s 6.0.0.615 from bell mobility, the screen then got bad before i had a chance to test it. I fixed the screen last week and the phone was working o.k for 2 days, i loved it! Then suddenly, it started saying "no service" i tried scanning for available networks, it said "scan timed out.please try again later" and there are about 5 networks around me in Nigeria here. Then after a while, the phone reboots intermitently, i tried re-installing the Os, the network came buh after a while, it started with the No service thing again. Please does anyone have an idea on what could be wrong and how can i fix this?

probably some thing clinched when you repaired the screen, get it examined at a professional BB service center.

downgrade your OS and see if it still occurs, or try the latest OS for 9700 (you can use any OS, it need not depend upon the carrier). Then see if the problem still exists, if not then great otherwise you know what to do.

Download and install the latest OS 5 device software on your computer from either your carrier or another carrier. Remember, if it's not from your carrier, you'll have to search for the vendor.xml file and delete the copies found once you've searched every single folder on your computer using the search utility. Make sure Hidden and System areas/files/folders and also subfolders are checked too. Start within C:\.

I also recommend you to install the OS5, follow Rootbrian's instructions it will work.
