Thumbs up My 9700 Gave me Goosebumps!!!

    Hi All,

I just wanna share my experience to all BB users... I had my BB with 40% battery level and I always check this for any update for my new OS 6.0.0.668/Official OS, when all of a sudden I received a phone call and got cut from it. I checked my BB it says battery too low for radio use and then shut off. When I tried to open it back I got the worst goosebumps because it went back to 100% battery level...
    Any feedback on this matter...???

It could be that the battery is not "calibrated" if that's the word. What I mean is I've read on the numerous threads on Battery life maximizing, that you ought to let the battery run down to 20-25% ever so often and then give it a full charge to 100%. This allows the phone to have a more accurate discharge rate and reading. When this is not done the readings may be off, and this could be your case.

    OR

Your battery may be legitimately on its way out.

My question is... how do you turn on/off the radio on the phone?

This is done through the Manage Connections settings. The phone will shut the
radio off if the battery reaches a predefined level but you will still be able to call
    "911" for emergencies.

OS6 is very bad at determining battery charge on the 9700. Mine drops from 40% to 7% and a battery pull will bring it back to 60%.

Bad battery. Time for a new one. They don't last forever.

I think the battery on your Blackberry should be replaced.
