Default music files wont show from micro sd card

hi,

i wonder if someone can help.

i took my card out of my blackberry 9700 today ( probably the first time ever) and copied some music files onto it from my PC. When inserted the card back, not only it doesnt have the new music file, it is now also missing the music and picsture i had before.

When i put this card back in laptop, i see that everything is there, but it just wont show up under " Media" anymore..

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Sounds like the card is not being recognized. Mine occasionally works its way out enough to create a similar problem.
Make sure you push the card fully into its slot. You should see only the raised pull plus a small area of the card about the same size as the pull.

I had an issue where my Podcasts weren't showing up. I deleted the Media Config service book and rebooted. Worked for that.

Maybe the card reader is faulty. Try a different card and see if that works although you did say it worked in your PC. Could be that one or more of the contacts on the reader are damaged or bent.

media card can not be accessed due to fatal error!?!?

This thread is likely related, though you aren't getting that error. Are you able to use the Video Camera app to record video or does it tell you to insert a memory card or give you some other error? Do you have encryption enabled? Another possibility, are you on BES, it could have an affect on it.

My phone isn't "reading" my memory card anymore. I've tried everything that i've found in the forums to no avail. With so many bb wonderkinds out there I'm sure someone has the solution to my problem. Thanks.

A repair shop will be able to replace the memory card module, or your carrier via warranty exchange/insurance claim. You do have options.

I was hoping there was something that could be done without having to go to a repair shop. I read in the furoms where someone did the repair and it still didn't work.
