    Ive had my 9700 on o2 for around 3 months now without any problems until today were i am unable to send sms or recieve and make calls. Mobile voice says: Mobile Voice - Status not available / connection: not connected although my BBM and internent and emails work fine. Sim works fine on a Nokia but not on BB until today, how can i resolve this?

    There is nothing wrong from o2's end as the sim works on an old nokia phone and i can make calls, send sms fine, its just with the 9700 i cant do this since this past week. I have upgraded and even downgraded the os but to no avail. Any other suggestions are welcome, at this moment i can only go on the net, check emails and bbm!

    Yeh I've done that and the guy at the store told me to update the os, did that and I get the same issues.

    Or
    Do advance backup (back content needed like phonebook, calander,memo,bbm data,etc,)
    Wipe your device and load the advance made backup.
    Or
    Goto options>>advance options>>service book>>delete all the service book

    Login your BB account and re send service book,

    hi, thanks for ur suggestions but i have tried the service books thing and still doesnt work. Also o2 wont replace the sim because the sim works fine on a Nokia phone its just the 9700 thats not picking up calls and not letting me make calls.

    no, thats the thing, i didnt, had it unlocked and was working without any faults for 3 months until this past week. so yeh getting o2 to replace would be out of the question.

    where did you buy it from? you sure its not blocked if your brought it from someone else?

    Ultimately if the "Mobile Voice" status is "Not Available" something on the network is preventing the device from being authorised to establish a voice connection, Your 9700 has tried to authenticate itself to the network, however O2 denied it the ability to establish a connection.

    My suggestion would be to get your SIM replaced by O2, you could bend it just a bit, or find another way to prevent it from working, I'd also suggest logging into O2's BIS and relinking your PIN and IMEI into their system, and asking them to see if any IMEI's on file match the IMEI of your device.

    I brought the BlackBerry to a place that repairs, they said it could not be physical problem, because when the BlackBerry spoils something related to signal, I get no connection, why the piece is reinforced or something, or can not be a physical problem apparently. The operating system will already reinstalled, then this is not the problem, the phone itself is the Claro Mexico, and even though it's clear Mexico is unlocked to all operators. I contacted technical support BlackBerry and they told me that the problem was the provider. so I called the course and they informed me that the line is in its perfect functionality. and the chip works on other devices other than this BlackBerry. I thank you much if you can help me.

    even i i have the very same problem in my blackberry curve 9360. but you have to take out your Sim card and insert it in another phone, when your Sim card get signal just remove and take it back to your blackberry is going to work properly.
