MEP2 code not accepted - bold 9700

Hey everybody...some insight on me. I work IT and I have dealt with many many blackberry's personally and work/BES related.

I am trying to help my friend unlock his Bold 9700 which is locked to Wind.

I have followed the typical steps to get the MEP ID, then the IMEI and when I put it into the software to get the unlock codes...it does not work.

I have tried using the software and doing it manually, I am not sure why it will not take the MEP2 code. I have tried 5 times so far and have 5 more tries left.

Any ideas? I have verified the MEP ID and the IMEI many times over and still, it wont work.

Contact the company where you got the code or contact of the unlocking companies in the unlocking forum.

see, I am using that blackberrytools.exe software that was posted on this forum. I've used it for other phones and never had an issue besides this phone.

So youre saying you have unlocked many BB's with the software you downloaded?
just dont waste your chances, because then you will need to DM3 unlock it via cable... which involves sending it to the company
