    Default Memory problem at 9700!!!

    Hey,
My company has a 9700 with OS 6.
Almost no room for applications, although in practice only OS6 and installed a few more applications
And a quick calculation at 175 MB out of 250 that device. Her left appears only 4 MB.
    Is there a solution?
She wants a complete deletion of the device, but it has some questions
    For deletion.

    A. Is making deletion also deletes the operating system? That is a left without an operating system?
Two. Which has clear implications for device?
Three. Is deleting device releases space on the device for applications?
Four. Can I delete, but delete only some of the data (especially to stay with the OS)?

    Would love to help on.

The best option and also which i have helped people with is to :

    i. Refresh OS
    ii. Shrink OS

    i. Refresh OS
    1. Just download and install any version of your choice. (My recommendation is .668, it has worked best for me)
    2. Delete the vendor.xml files for the installation to proceed. Without the deletion it will not detect the installed OS.
    3. Do not worry about your data, as it will be restored to the phone. (Though just do full-backup and blackberry protect for peace of mind)
    4. Wait and it'll be done.

    ii.
    1. Install BB boss
    2. Select the version you're running
    3. Select and deselect the items you and don't want (for example: i deleted all default wallpaper, videos and ringtones; placed them in media card)
    4. Shrink. Should give you a good number of free memory

    - you're done!
