    Default Memory card not recognised

My Blackberry 9700 been working just fine until it dropped out of my pocket whilst running, anyway since then the device is not recognising the memory card.
I have tried my memory card in another Blackberry and it shows up no problem so know the card is fine, to be sure I tried another known working memory card from another Blackberry in mine and it is not being recognised.
I have tried the hard reset but no help.
Is there anything else I can do......is there a part i can buy off fleabay etc that I can fix myself.....if so is it an easy job.
The Blackberry is out of warranty.
Thankyou in advance for any help

Try using a card reader to format it on a laptop or any computer, after that insert into the card slot of ur phone and see if it works/recognises it,if d hardware is not damaged it should work

If it's saying "memory card cannot be read due to fatal error", then it's a hardware problem. Either replace the module by going to a repair shop, or try reloading the OS and formatting the card using a different memory card reader either within windows, or via the GParted Live CD/USB. It's not difficult, I did it before I even used GNU/Linux.
Flamers, don't even try, I have my waterhose ready
GNU/Linux distros of choice: Ubuntu, Mint (or anything based on debian that's still geared towards beginners and isn't too bloated).

If the problem started right after the damage so it's most likely that some hardware on your Blackberry Bold 9700 is broken.

First you should try to put another card in the slot to find out if more then 1 card isn't working...

Maybe it's something small with a slot connection and you can get it fixed in repair store.
