Hoping someone here might have an idea of what is going on with my berry.. 9700 running stock OS 5 on Telus

I cannot access any of the memos that I had previously stored on my phone.. I open up memo pad and all I see is:

*no memos*

When I open options, it lists the number of entries corresponding to the number of memos that I have (had!?)

Here is the weird thing - when I try to add a memo, nothing happens. I write something, save it and go right back to the screen that reads *no memos* BUT the number of entries has increased by one when I check in options. Some kind of phantom memo BS?!

I have tried restoring to a previous backup file via desktop manager (using a file from when my phone was working fine) and still nothing! Obviously tried battery pull before that etc. Have I inadvertently changed a setting somewhere to hide everything?

I didn't upgrade the OS, I didn't do anything crazy with my phone, I honestly have no idea what could have happened. Help would be sincerely appreciated!
