Losing messages - frustrating
Hi All,
I am using a Bold 9700 with OS 6.
The OS6 release is official from O2 (UK) and all seemed to be working fine. Recently it has started to constantly lag, lots of "timer" icons.
I have done a fresh install, but the problem still persists. I constantly lose my messages that are more than just a day or two old. This may be my emails or SMS messages. They are all gone from the handheld which means I can't refer to information from just a few days ago.
My outgoing messages are still on there though... so it looks like I'm having a long conversation with myself.
I use Gmail (not the app, just I have a gmail account which means the emails are push).
Any advice would be great!
Thanks,

Running low on memory I would say. Hard to tell but the hourglass spinning is indication that the device is working hard at something.

i have the same problem, then i realized i have my desktop email client set to delete the messages off the server after 3 days, and it seems my blackberry removes them off the device once they're gone from the server
not sure if this is your issue thoughBold 9700 - 6.0.0.615

Thanks DBXLouie, that is not the problem.
Today pretty much all of my text messages have little green icons, which show as a draft. It shows I have once sent a message, but all the messages (including mine) are gone.
I now have no emails from yesterday...
This is VERY frustrating and there must be a fix for it? - 05-26-2011, 05:09 AM #5
Amnesia,
Have you checked your memory levels? There are memory leaks on OS6 (many threads on this here...). when my machine gets low on memory it just eats emails and diary entries! My advice is check free mem regularly and reboot by removing battery, or using QuickPull if you have it, when mem gets below 10mb....

Thanks David,
My memory is always around the 1.4mb level, after I battery pull, twice a day usually it goes to just over 10mb but falls almost instantly. I barely have any apps installed either. - 05-26-2011, 08:04 AM #7
You should consider 'shrinking' the OS and then re-installing to gain a lot of space.
