Hello,

I just finished replacing my Blackberry 9700 LCD screen. After installing the screen, I decided to reinstall the operating system. I updated to OS6, I noticed the screen wasn't working correctly. The colours were distorted, while on OS5 everything was perfect.

I checked with the buyer on Ebay and he told me that the LCD was only compatible with OS5. I can see everything on OS6, but its not clear. The colour is distorted. Is there any way that I could a adjust the settings to fix this problem?

Did you purchase from China by any chance from Ebay? it happened to me with 3 that i once owned all the same problem i could only install OS5 and still the image was crap...its best to go to a phone repair guy and let them sort it out even though the numbers are the same the quality was not....

Yeah, I bought the LCD from an eBay seller located in China. The image on OS5 is fine, everything looks original. Once, I updated to OS6, the colour is distorted.

How is this even possible?

Its possible i got 3 the same way since sold with OS5... its best to get it from a local repair guy they always test before giving back...No more Ebay Chinese screens for this guy
