I have been waiting for this since seeing the 9780 leak. Unfortunately, it looks like this will be a long download.

Sweet. I haven't been happy with the last release and have been losing memory more and more lately. I'm going to give this a try tonight.

Strange, I've been running 668 for over three weeks now without a battery pull and still have 99 mb of free space.

Did you shrink your OS before installing? I have memory issues too but I'm thinking it's likely down to some app or two.

I shurk the OS but I've installed Vlingo and a few other apps lately I'm wondering if they're eating up my memory. I always found .668 to be a little sluggish anyways.

Yes, I shrank it out to give me a start of 115mb. It slowly dropped down to about 92mb after 3 weeks and then all of a sudden, without me doing anything, it shot back up to 102mb. At the moment it's sitting at 99mb so I guess 668 is managing memory quite nicely.

Hope this new release is as good, if not better.

Downloaded it now, installed and shrunk it, ready for loading to the device which I can't do until at least next week as I am away tomorrow and don't want to chance anything till I get back.

    Alan.

Yes, that's a big sfi at 36mb Zocster. Perhaps I'll hold on till a multi appears.

Is Vlingo working correctly for you with this build? I'm able to install it, but it's not working at all for me (nothing happens when I press the convenience key, even though it's set up properly to "Do Nothing").

Also, there is a small bug in this build for the "Manage Connections" pulldown menu (when you're scrolling through the options, only the checkbox gets highlighted blue, and also the "All Off" button is kinda weird). In order to fix this, just copy over net_rim_bb_manage_connections.cod and net_rim_bb_manage_connections_lib.cod from a previous build like 666 or 668.

With .668 I did have that same issue with vlingo and I'm not sure what caused it. I just uninstalled did a battery pull, installed it again and it worked fine. Not sure what the problem was.

That's the small new look of this build. It ain't a bug.

Have asked the mods to sticky this.

My review: Speedy, fast, responsive. I ditched a few apps I didn't need, only going with what I use: myspace, facebook, ubersocial, opera mini, bb protect, bb appworld, miroamer. Sitting at 91.6MB free. I'm loving this one and the new feature some seem to be complaining about.

That's definitely not a bug... this is a feature copied over from OS7 where it has always appeared like that.

What do you shrink out to be sitting at 91.6? I have shrunk out all languages, games, BBM and most fonts, and still have only 55 MB free.

Convert the ringtones you want to keep to MP3 files then put them on your memory card. You can then shrink them all out. That frees up quite a lot of space.

I'm right now installing this update.

But I could not choose Turkish. Does this update have no Turkish on board?!
