Keyboard lock Code change

I'd like to have a password certain times and not others. I hate having to put it in everytime but I want to set a password with my lock key so I choose when it's on and when it's off. Is their anyway to do this on a 9700. Thanks for the help

I think you misunderstood. You only press the lock button when you want and I want to change the lock code from *send to something else

You can put a password for when it locks and use standby for when you don't want to put in a password

I can put password for when it locks and it won't come off when the screen is off for a long period of time or you phrased that incorrectly. If so how do I do this
