Default importing issues from bold 9700 down to pearl 8820

so i had a bold 9700, it broke and is off for repairs. now i have the use of a wonderful ghetto blackberry flip phone, pearl 8220, im not complaing, just with out the qwerty keyboard, typing takes some serious time.

I imported my data from my last back up, and im trying to get bbm to work for me, even adding myself dosnt work. so, is it that this version is just to old to bbm? or am i doing something wrong?

At first it told me that data plan was not available, but i went to options and turned that on, and ive tried to get tit to connect to my wifi connection, but for somereason it just wont.

anyway, any help would be appreciated. gonna be 2 week+ before i hear about my repair.

Have you tried signing in at Rogers HTML BIS site on your PC and changing your PIN to that of the 8220? https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=rogers

You'll need to remove the 9700's pin and add the 8220's pin to the BIS site in order to get data services enabled for the blackberry you're currently using as a loaner.
