not so much the smooth surfaces, but the back (being matte finish) i'd expect getting 'brown/grey' over time...

If this is the same pearl white color as the white pearl, then I don't think it will get dirty unless you really dont keep it clean. I had a white pearl for 2 years and the white looked the same as it didn when I bought it.
