Question How long does it take your 9700 to boot?

Most times when you delete an application you need to reboot your BB. I noticed that mine was taking awhile to fully start so today I timed it and it took 5 min 24 secs. I know that the 8320 didn't take nearly this long. Anyone know why the 9700 takes so long?

Its been as long as that for me too, and sometimes just a couple minutes. I think it depends on what app u just uninstalled etc...

Really and truly it shouldn't be more than 2-3 mins. You might want to back it up and do a memory swipe.

Mine is about 2 minutes. WAY less than the 5-10 it would take for my 8820 to boot. I remember the first time I turned the 8820 on, it took approximately 10 minutes to turn on.

My problem is that even after it loads, it starts lagging with the clock popping up in the middle. It's windows with the hour glass all over again.

about 1 and a 1/2 minutes, but after my 9000 was upgraded to OS 5 it would boot up in about a minute.

    love the new progress bar.

also if you are getting memory leak straight after loading up, try removing all your themes and adding them back on one by one to see if its any of them causing the leak.

Mine doesn't take more than couple minutes. I was just telling someone that it actually reboots faster than my pearl!

I had the curve before and the reboots would take 4-5 minutes which seemed forever.
Now with the 9700, it takes about 90sec-2minutes which is a lot better.

After removing several "Add-ons" and "Third-Party" applications...eliminating cached images, various modules, wallpapers, etc.; the initial rebooting process for my device is less than 45 seconds...give or take a few seconds.
