Hmm Bold wont accept my 32gb card
Hey disgruntled Storm1 user here that's now with the giant green robot in the sky :O. Though that's not why I'm here.
I'm trying to get my dad a 32gb micro sdhc for his 9700 Bold (xmas gift), but I ran into a little issue. The 32gb card that came with my phone will not work on his phone at all. Throwing out like error something invalid or something close to that. It's not the bad sectors one or anything like that it seems to just reject the card. Now I'm trying to figure out if there are specific card models that are supported by this phone or software update that will fix this (currently on BB OS6).
Any positive info on this card issue would be greatly appreciated.

What make is the card? I've got a 32gb Sandisk in my 9700 and it works just fine.
Was there a card in the phone that worked prior to the upgrade?

The device definitely supports a 32 GB card. *TIP*What's the maximum size (capacity) micro sd card that can go into a Blackberry?
Where did you get this card? If you purchased it from eBay, it could very well be a fake. Beware of fake 32gb micro sd card on ebay!!!!!!: Community Help Boards: eBay Discussion Boards

Have you tried reformatting the card?

If you got it from ebay, return it. Getting the card from a reputable store is allot better.
Also, you could try formatting it with gparted, there is a live cd available to burn and boot from. Format it to a different filesystem, then back to fat32. It should work afterwards. I did it with my 1GB card before handing it off to somebody, same with my 2GB card, as the phone kept corrupting it (feature phone blues lol) - 12-14-2011, 06:16 PM #8
RB, the OP indicated that the card came with his HTC Thunderbolt not from eBay.

I got a 32gb sandisk directly from amazon and they were the actual sellers (amazon). I'll test it out when he leaves his phone out for a while. Hopefully it should work with the phone.
Though question, if isn't formatted at all (id think they added ntfs/fat32 or something to it already), but if they didn't can I pop the card in and it will format it directly on the blackberry? - 12-21-2011, 07:57 AM #11

I thought perhaps the 32GB card is huge, and there's alot of on-going processing..so it takes longer. However it should still accept
