Help with SOS and UMA
Blackberry 9700 , help with WIFI/UMA?
Alright, so my Blackberry has some problem with it.. I'm getting a new one in about a week, and It only has SOS connection which SUCKS. But if I connect to a router, and it goes to UMA connection that's fine obviously. My phone connected to UMA yesterday but now its not connecting UMA at all, and its connected to my router, and the wifi logo is white , which means it is connected.
I've restarted my phone, and the router, so can anyone help me with this and maybe help me connect uma?

I'm upset cause i cant use my phone, so please I'll love you FOREVER, if you help. - 11-14-2010, 12:37 PM #3
SOS problems are usually related to your SIM card or the SIM card reader in the phone.
This is what authenticates your phone to the network. It could be that that SIM card or card reader have gone completely out. Without being able to identify your account, UMA will not work.
I would go by one of your carriers stores and have them replace your SIM card (it's free and takes just a couple of minutes).
If it's the card, this will not only fix the UMA but the SOS problem as well.
If replacing the SIM card does not help, it's the SIM card slot in the phone and you have to wait on the replacement phone. - 11-14-2010, 12:45 PM

Some places will charge you 10$ to change your SIM (Rogers).
