Default help with gmail empty "ALL MAIL" folder

Hello, just couple weeks ago this started to happen (not sure what I've changed).

Basically when i go to my GMAIL folder when i receive emails, it shows no message. But it does appear in Message folder (both folders show the new mail counts). In the GMAIL folder if i change filter to label "Inbox" the new mail is there. The default label for GMAIL folder is "ALL MAIL" though.

I don't have any filter setup so I'm not sure why the mail would only show up in Inbox but not in All Mail. Anyone got any suggestion? much appreciated!

I had the same problem just before I got rid of the Enhanced Gmail plugin. I'm going to subscribe to this post and see if there is an answer, I'm not going to install it again, but would love to know how or why

o yeah i forgot about enhanced plugin. I've already removed and reactivated the mail box, did some battery pull here and there still the same. I'm gonna see if reinstalling that would help.

In case you want to get rid of the plugin:

You need to edit two words in
    net_rim_bb_gmail.alx

either search for net_rim_bb_gmail.alx or it is located in your OS folder in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\

    open net_rim_bb_gmail.alx in Notepad

search for the word "true" and change both to false

    <required>false</required>
    <hidden>false</hidden>

Now it will show up in apploader or desktop manager and let you uninstall it.

This is the same method I use to uninstall Visual Voicemail.

for what it is worth, I have a total of 3 google mail accounts setup on my 9700. A personal gmail account, a personal apps account and a work apps account. Only my personal gmail account had this issue with the enhanced plugin. The other two did not.

I looked into it and decided to just get rid of the plugin. I figure, if i had to go into another icon to get the benefits of the enhanced plugin, why not just install the gmail mobile app and use that when i need it. I typically stick with the main message folder for email.

Ok this is interesting, mine's resolved now.

I went to blackberry.com/gmail thinking maybe I should just try to re-install. Once I started the process my phone asked me if I want to replace 2.0.0.30 with 2.0.0.25. After i "downgraded" it and rebooted, and voila the emails are all showed up.

I don't know how I got 2.0.0.30, probably with Gmail app? But I just realized I don't see "Archive" anymore in the gmail folder menu, and it used to be there couple weeks ago.

Last week I got my first Blackberry, a Bold 2. Today I updated the OS to 405 and everything went well except for gmail. I have a similar problem to the OPs. I'm showing alerts for incoming messages but when I open gmail the default folder is All Mail and it's empty. I had installed the Gmail Enhanced Plug-in before updating the OS and everything was working well then. I've tried uninstalling gmail and then setting up a new gmail account but the problem still is there. And I've done the battery pull routine as well and no change. I saw the earlier post about going into the OS files and modifying some lines but my question is how do you access the OS files. Is there anything else I should be doing to restore my gmail imap account?

I found "net_rim_bb_gmail.alx" in my PC (Win 7) Program Files but when I went to edit it as above in Notepad it wouldn't let me save the file. Not sure where to go from here.

I can't even downgrade - when I try to download the enhancement, i get a download failure every time.

I tried my program files folder and I don't have a shared folder or loader files folder under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\

argh - I know this isn't a huge big deal but it's so annoying. Any help would be really appreciated :\
