Email icons (aol and yahoo) are missing :-(

So i have the new 9700, its two months old and its a really great phone-brand new btw. but there is no e-mail icons for the aol folder and the yahoo folder???? is it missing? i sent the service books-but that didnt work :-/ so i'm stuck as to what is should do.....please help...thnx everyone.

What comes preinstalled is up to your carrier. If you need aol and yahoo, you can find the apps on their websites or in appworld.

did you add the aol and/or yahoo email accts to the phone in the setup?

I don't have icons either. I still get all my e-mails tho. Missing the lil design doesn't bug me.

Actually RIM is working on this issue now, this happened to me and a co worker last weekend,and he called his carrier but they couldn't help him so they transferred him to Blackberry Technical Support,they said they were aware of the problem and they told him that they were on working on it, that was the last I heard about it, that must of been Monday or Tuesday.

I had my service books resent to my device & they came back, I had the icons again...yay me!

I'm also missing my aol email icons and even when I resend my service books same basic email icon is there.

since 3.0 my yahoo icon has been missing as well.Resending service books,deleting the account and then adding it again doesn't work either.

I have the same problem with my yahoo mail (I don't have an aol account)
I was actually going to post about it, but didn't quite know how to describe it.
Mine comes back sometimes after a battery pull, but only to disappear again a couple of days later.
I actually like having the little purple "y" on the folder, because it helps distinguish it from other icons/folder.
I hope RIM fixes it soon.

If your AOL or yahoo icon are missing use a backup that you had before blackberry Internet service 3.0 was rolled out and this will correct your issue.

you must have AOL and yahoo mail icon in this backup for this to work
