Question E-Mail reconciliation only one way

First of all Hi as it's my first post - been browsing and reading lots of stuff already. I recently won a BB 9700 and am slowly getting to grips with it (first ever BB for me) and starting to love it.

My problem is when I delete an e-mail from any of the 3 accounts I have setup on the BB they also get deleted from the actual mailboxes which is good, however if I delete e-mails from a PC this doesn't clear it from the handheld.
Is it supposed to be like this? Or should it clear the notifications and the message from the phone for me?

    Settings seem to be right;
Delete - On Mailbox & Handheld
    Wireless Reconcile - On
    On Conflicts - Mailbox wins

I have searched for a solution to my problem but couldn't find anything useful so any help (even if it is just a link to an old thread with the answer that I missed) would be appreciated.

    Cheers

from my own personal history with BB's whem you delete mail on your computer you also will have to delete it on the BB also. But if you delete mail form your BB it gives you the option to delete from device only or delte form your mailbox also. Hope this helpsyou out and welcome to the club. Enjoy your BB!!!!!

Go into the particular email account you are referring to:

    1. Press your track wheel to bring up your drop down menu.
    2. Select Options. This brings up your "Message Options" page.
    3. Select "Email Reconciliation"
    4. Make sure under "Message Services:" (if you have more than one email account configuered for you BB) that you select the email account in question.
    5. For the "ON Conflicts" selection select which medium you would give precedence to in a conflict ie, handheld wins or mailbox wins. It is all about your personal choice. I normally keep "Handheld Wins" selected . Hopefully, this may be a solution for you.

But I found this guy that had the problem that I want!

@bigu, I've changed it on all 3 e-mail accounts and tried reconciling now - but all the old e-mails remain - even though they've been deleted from the servers.

There are no settings to enable 2-way email synchronisation, so ignore the above.

I believe currently only Hotmail and Yahoo! (soon Gmail) accounts will do this.

Ok, 2 of the accounts I have on there are Hotmail accounts (one .com and one .co.uk if that makes a difference), any idea how I can make it delete the e-mails off the phone then?

Edit - Oooh I just found another old thread on here (via google search though), some seem to work fine others the same as me and others not at all

I only have a Yahoo! account which syncs both ways fine, so I can't comment on Hotmail I'm afraid.

How long are you waiting for the deleted emails from your PC to be removed from your device? It won't be instant, and can take up to 15 minutes to happen through the BIS server.

Still waiting to see if things that were deleted yesterday are going to update - still no joy.
