do i need to have bis for the GPS to work?
hi guys. My gps is not working and i have downoaded many other gps software for my 9700 but they dont work either. could it be the problem that i dont have bis on my phone for the gps to work? thanks

i just walked outside and it is showing me a green dot(my location icon) but its a white screen and cant see anything. it is working when i walk but i can see only a white screen and "my location icon"

You need a BIS data plan for the map to retrieve data.

Yes, you don't need BIS for the GPS location to work.

The GPS is working as a GPS but the maps are image files that should be downloaded according to your location so you need a data connection to use GPS with the maps.
