I have recently switched from an Android device to Blackberry and I have been having quite a few contact/email related issues. The main one being my contact pictures do not sync to the phone no matter what I try and do.

I have tried to setup Google Sync via the app and this worked but the contact pictures were not transferred to the device. I have also tried to setup Gmail directly though the Email Accounts app and although the contacts are being transferred, the contact pictures are being ignored. I have got pictures for nearly every contact on my address book setup in Gmail and this works when setting up on an iPhone or Android.

As a last resort I extracted all the contact files from Gmail and imported them into Windows Contacts. I read on a thread somewhere that the Blackberry desktop manager can transfer contacts directly to the phone so this was the next thing I attempted. Again with no luck as with the previous methods explain above.

The question is: How do I sync my contact pictures to my Blackberry??

I had the same issue but once there were pictures for all my gmail contacts they synced fairly well once i used google snyc. . .Here's a sort of long round about way but I noticed the picture sync with Facebook if pretty good on a black berry. . .if you can sync ur gmail contacts with you facebook sontacts then you might get some where. . .Google Contact Sync | Heart of Angel. . .this does just that. . .once synced just let you facebook app do the rest. . .hope this helps. . .just to be clear. . .this links and syncs your gmail contacts to facebook. . .once done in theory you can just set the option in facebook to use your facebook pics in you contacs app. . .

This is a great workaround but it is not something that Blackberry users should have to go though just to get contact pictures to sync. I for one do not have all my mobile contacts on Facebook therefore this is not a good solution for me by any means.

Personally I think Blackberry is a downgrade from my old phone and the only thing that is making it worthwhile at the moment is Blackberry Messenger but I'm sure this will die down in a month or two.
