Default Change OS version to another carrier

I have an unlocked AT&T Bold 9700 running the latest OS 6. Now I need to switch to a T-mobile version to try getting UMA to work on it. I have downloaded OS 6 from T-mobile for my phone, ran the .exe file, deleted the vendor.xml file wiped the device and let desktop manager install the new OS. however, my phone now still display vendor ID as 102 (AT&T) instead of T-mobile (100), have AT&T wallpaper and ringtone. Can anyone help me get the T-mobile version of OS 6 on my device? Thanks a lot.

Won't happen, vendor ID and splash screen are hard coded into the device.

Which network are you using it on?

If you're trying to enable UMA on AT&T, that will not happen because AT&T simply does not support UMA...regardless of what OS the phone is running.

If you're trying to enable UMA on T-Mobile, I believe it will work...but if I recall correctly you have to do some rummaging around to find the correct settings.

I'm using it on T-mobile network. And just to reiterate, this is originally an AT&T branded phone.

Do AT&T bold 9700's do not come equipped with the hardware needed for UMA?

Does it mean it's impossible to get my BB to run a T-mobile version of OS 6? I think I need to do this in order to get UMA to work.

Thanks for any further advice.
