Can't get UMA to work

I have an unlocked AT&T branded Blackberry bold 9700. I have completed the steps laid out here

but still UMA still wouldn't show up on my homescreen. Does anyone have any idea what I can try next? Thanks a lot!!

Wish I had better news for you. I have a T-mo 9700 and while UMA is working again, it was down in major regions in the USA.

I'm forced to rely on it as I live in a dead zone and without UMA, i at best, have a single bar of EDGE which slips down to GPRS.

Are you still using a AT$T firmware or hybrid? I didn't read much into the guide and (impatiently) waiting for UMA features to be brought to the T-Mobile Torch or Bold 9900.

I am about to pass out but willing to walk step by step with you if needed for a certain setting on 6.0 that may have been missed.

PM me if you need help with it tomorrow and I will read the guide and compare. I am running the official 6.0 release from T-Mobile and there may be just some odd setting they have changed on the carrier side when the UMA outage happened over a couple weeks ago.
