Cannot sync after OS upgrade
Recently I upgraded my Bold 9700 from Package Version: 5.0.0.645 to Package Version: 5.0.0.1014. Since then I cannot sync my BB with Mac Desktop or Windows Desktop. I used to sync my BB with my laptop running Mac OS X 10.5.8. Now it does not sync calendars (no error), gives me sync error when syncing contacts, but it will sync music with iTunes.
I followed the instruction in the knowledge base article and exported my address book, deleted it on my mac and imported it again, but it still would not sync.
I did factory reset (Options -> Security Options -> Security Wipe), but that did not help either.
I uninstall/installed desktop manager on my mac, still no dice.
I installed desktop manager on my win xp system and tried to sync, and it still would not work.
Finally I tried to downgrade to previous version but is goes in to re-boot loop when my computer tries to connect to ROM.
How do I fix the problem?
Thanks.Hemant Shah
I have not lost my mind.
It is backed up on tape somewhere. - 08-07-2010, 07:26 PM #2
Is organizer data checked in sync settings on the DM?

Have you upgraded to the latest release of the OS stickied at the top of the 9700 forum?
I recommend you install any version of the "Blackberry Device Software 5.0" from the Add/Remove programs on windows XP and use BBSAK to load the latest OS once you've installed it and deleted the vender.xml file. Hope this helped. It might do the trick. If it doesn't, you might have a bad ROM.
