    Default Build Quality?

For the people that have early production units, how does the build quality compare to say a Bold? My only BB gripe atm (other than the browser) is build quality in general... My Bold feels really light, and that if I were to drop it it'd be finished... Not to mention, the battery door is loose and creaky which is driving me absolutely crazy. I really hope BB moves forward regarding the materials used because frankly, the E72 isn't looking too bad right now.

Build quality of the 9000 isn't bad. However the build quality of the Onyx is better. It is smaller, but definitely feels more solid. I do agree with the 9000's battery door and the way it feels in your hand. The Onyx doesn't have that feeling. Overall its a great looking device, and has very good build quality.

I don't think there is any build quality issues when it comes to physical keyboard blackberries.

Now the build quality on the Storm.... That can be a debate.

This phone is very very solid IMO. When your holding it compared to the Bold the Onyx feels very light and just amazing, but it's not a POS device. It seems like RIM took a lot of time on this one.

Funny, I've never been anything but pleased with the build quality of the Bold. I've messed with an 8900 in the stores and while some of it's features are envy worthy and I generally like it, the device itself feels a step down on the quality of construction. (Except the atomic trackball...that is definitely nicer). I suspect the Onyx will take what little quibbles one could have with the Bold and give us a very polished and quality feeling device.

I want to know this too. At least so far we know it's better than the Bold!

here is my take on the build of the device

i have a bold and have had my hands on a 8900 and a storm and i like the "rich feel" and everything about the bold just makes you feel like you have the flagship of rim . love the size and the keyboard and with the black bezel veryy sexy as well . lol
i just hope that the 9020 can do the same and give you that feeling in your hand .
