Default Same thing happened to my first Bold 9930

I tried everything that I found online related to this including many battery pulls and connecting it to my laptop via USB with the hopes of reinstalling the OS. No luck as it was dead enough that I couldn't connect with Desktop Manager. Nothing worked so I called Verizon and was sent a replacement. That showed up the next morning and I couldn't get it past the initial activation because I had to press "1" when I called to activate it and it would type "LL" instead of a "1"!! Several other keys were screwed up as well and Verizon couldn't figure that out either so they sent me yet a 3rd Bold 9930! I have had this one for a couple of months now and so far so good. I would call them up and get it replaced sooner rather than later. Obviously they have had some real problems with the Bolds based on Kevin's experience plus yours and mine. Best to you.

Pity you didn't mention the "water" issue in your first post. I would think it's now a paper weight because of that.

Try buying 70% alcohol and dismantling the phone and wiping all the boards, connection points, clean em....make sure no grub and stuff like that.

Worked for my cousin's 8900 curve.

Hi There Folks.
The same thing happened to my Blackberry Bold 9900 and i called my service provider and was getting answers such as you have to buy a new phone or it has a battery problem or the phone has to be replaced!
Well i am glad that none of that is true!

You do not need to replace it,change the battery or go anywhere with it!
You can fix this issue at home by yourself!
I did it and so can you!
I have made a video on YouTube to guide you through a step-by-step process on how to get your blackberry smartphone back to life!
Check it out:

How To Recover/Restore Your Nuked or Bricked Blackberry - YouTube
Leave a comment or give a thumbs up if you need any further assistance or if it works for you!
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WOULD LOSE ALL CONTACTS,APPLICATIONS AND MEMOS IN THIS PROCESS AS IT WIPES EVERYTHING AND INSTALLS A BRAND NEW OS

Thanks!
